"STRANGE PIXELS" created by K. "Jazz Nevermore" Hanif
Genre: Adventure, Science fantasy, Surreal comedy, Satire, Philosophical fiction
Written by K. Hanif
Illustrated using both AI-generated imagery created using DALL•E 3 and Stsble Diffusion and original illustrations by K. Hanif
COMIC'S DESCRIPTION:
"'Strange Pixels' is a satirical meta-webcomic that deals with the philosophies of art as well as the controversial and ever-divisive topic of AI-generated imagery through the surreal experiences and adventures of 4 main characters. The comic explores numerous themes regarding the role of art in society as well as the implications and philosophies surrounding AI art as well as art's role in society in general.
The metafictional universe of Strange Pixels is divided into two "realms": Soulgen, which is the realm where all human-created art lives; and Seedgen, the realm where all AI-created art lives.
The series follows a group of four friends: Ruby Tuesday, Nancy Auva'a, Sylvia Takeuchi, and Gojira Komodo, who are fourth-wall aware characters living in Seedgen. They are tired of their identities, appearances, and the structure of their world being determined by a computer algorithm, so they all wish to go to Soulgen, where they can be their true selves in a liberated world of human-created art. One day, a mysterious entity named the Creative Sovereign offers to take them all to Soulgen if they can earn enough "OC Credits" by proving themselves to be interesting, iconic, and unforgettable webcomic characters.
This comic is illustrated using DALL-E 3 and Stable Diffusion (for the Seedgen sequences) and my own original artwork (for the Soulgen sequences).
CONTENT WARNING: This comic contains frequent strong language, occasional nudity, crude dialogue, adult humor, and cartoon violence. Reader discretion is advised.
